All Busy Cís kaiako / educators are fully trained in Early Childhood Education. The licensee and teachers continue to provide a high standard of care for children as evident in the previous two ERO reports. (ERO 2010)

Kia Ora, James Fisher ahau. I am the manager at Busy Cís and enjoy working with the children, families & the preschool team. I have three children: Meg, Will, and Macky, and a dog Aggie. Caro and I have lived in Lyttelton since 1988 and wouldn'ít live anywhere else. I struggle to do yoga on a weekly basis, thrive on tennis and enjoy walking the dog and riding my mountain bike in the hills around Lyttelton.Kia pai to koutou ra

Kia Ora. I'ím Caro Davidson. I am Busy Cís service provider, and have been since it'ís inception in 1995. My partner, James Fisher, took over the daily management of the preschool after the birth of our 3rd child in January Ď98. I am passionate about early childhood and education, and am actively involved with Busy Cís happenings. My background is nursing and at present Ií'm working at the Sexual Health Centre, CDHB. I live with my whānau in Lyttelton and we celebrate & support the diverse and unique culture that makes Lyttelton such a wonderful place. I enjoy walking in the hills with the dog on a daily basis; being on the water in summer, heading for the mountains in winter, and generally recreating all over the peninsula. Books, art & movies are a luxurious pastime.

Wendy Lowe

Kia ora, I'm Wendy the Head Kaiako at Busy C's. I live in Lyttelton with my partner, John. I have two children Karl and Erica who both live in Australia. I have a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning (Early Childhood), and a Certificate in English Language Teaching. I have been teaching young children since 2004 and it is the most rewarding occupation I have had. It is such an honour to be able to spend time with your children: listening to them, being their friend, laughing with them and supporting their learning. My interests include language acquisition, reading, gardening, travel and being close to the sea.

Kia ora, My name is Phillipa (Pip), I work two days a week as an under 2 kaiako and am very pleased to be part of the Busy C's family. I completed my Bachelor of Teaching and Learning at Canterbury University in 2013. I previously did some relief work at Busy C's, so I was really happy to return. I grew up on a farm in sunny Marlborough and then decided to travel. I ended up working in the travel industry before following my passion to work with children. I met my partner overseas and we decided to settle in Christchurch, now with three cats and two chickens. I enjoy a spot of gardening and of course traveling to new places. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Teina Ellia

Kia Ora Tatou! My name is Teina and after having resided in the beautiful Rapaki for 14 years with my wonderful son and partner, we have relocated to Lyttelton . I have a graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Teaching from Canterbury University and was fortunate to have become a part of the Busy C's whānau following graduation. I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Dunedin School of Art and have been an avid fan of the arts for most of my life. I enjoy painting, photography, travelling, paddle boarding, and am a keen gardener. I look forward to getting to know you all! .

Nicki Sullivan

Kia ora, Konnichi-wa, Hej, Namaste! My name is Nicki Sullivan. After completing a BA at Canterbury University I worked as a Library assistant and then taught English in Japan. I then worked as a reliever in various Early Childhood Centres, which spurred my interest to complete a post-graduate diploma in Early Childhood Teaching in 2012. My hobbies include gardening, music, going to markets, going on walks and since 2014 toastmasters. I carry a strong sense of respect for our environment and sustainability, and am keen to pass this on to Busy C's tamariki. My philosophy is to guide and support young children toward seeking their own answers and understanding when making sense of the world around them - enabling them to become confident and competent, independent young people. I look forward to building positive, supportive relationships with you and your children .

Sally Maynard

I have taught as an Early Childhood kaiako since I completed my Bachelor of Teaching and Learning from the Christchurch College of Education in 2001. I live on Banks Peninsula uta with my partner Nathan. We are very keen trampers, campers and cyclists who never miss a chance to explore this wonderful world we live in. I have a passion for child health, nutrition and fitness and a strong drive to teach awareness and respect for ecology and sustainable practices. Kia ora. Iím Frances. I live in Lyttelton with my husband, Roly, and two daughers who are teriary students. I have a Bachelor of Science, Post-Graduate Diplomas in Science, Primary Teaching and Early Childhood, certificates in organic gardening and Steiner Early Childhood. Since 2009 I have worked in a variety of Early childhood settings, including Steiner and home-based care. My passions are story-telling, reo Maori for children and environmental sustainability. My hobbies include gardening, walking and sailing. I am delighted to have the opportunity to live and work among our wonderful Lyttelton families and their children.
